Conor O'Bryan - Flute, whistles

Inspired by the Irish and Scottish bands touring through his home town of Chico, CA, Conor picked up an old Clarke tin whistle that had been hiding away in a cupboard. He learned, early on, from the local Irish scene stalwarts, Michael Cannon and Greg Taylor. Later, upon acquiring a wooden flute, Conor was taught by John Skelton, and discovered the music of John McKenna, Tom Morrison, and the other flute players from the 78rpm era of the 1920s and 1930s. In the fall of 2012 Conor found his way up to Portland, Oregon, and is now playing flutes with the boys of Na Rósaí.

Conor is a guest musician with The Stomptowners
